Dear LATAM Stocks Readers,
Happy New Years!!
As some of you already know, I have launched a podcast to go along side this newsletter.
I am writing you today to tell you a little more about the podcast, why I started it, and what to expect moving forward. You will also find a brief overview of the first several episodes.
If the podcast interests you, please subscribe and share to help grow the LATAM Stocks community!

Why Start a Podcast?
The LATAM Stocks newsletter is read by a WIDE range of investors, finance professionals, businesspeople and students. Our community has grown to over 2,700 members in over 60 countries.
It’s clear to me that the community’s interest in Latin American markets and investments is much broader than just equities.
The newsletter will remain equity focused, but I wanted to bring insights into other asset classes and industries in LATAM that may be of interest as well.
A podcast seems like the best way to do that.
What to expect…
I aim to release one episode per week.
The format will be a one-hour (more or less) video interview. It will also be released in audio only format almost everywhere you can listen to podcasts.
Guests will be professional investors, analysts, business operators, and CFO’s.
I am keeping the LATAM Stocks name, but the podcast will be industry and asset class agnostic.
Guests specialized in commodities trading, real estate, macro, M&A, etc… are all fair game.
If I think someone has experience and a deep knowledge related to investing in Latin America, I’m happy to talk to them.
The First 4 Episodes
Episode 1
This episode was well received. A clip of it even ended up in the Bloomberg feed!
In this episode I talk to Frederico Nobre about Brazil’s Oil & Gas industry, in particular Brazil’s Oil giant, Petrobras.
Frederico is one of the best Brazilian Oil & Gas analysts I follow, so I was glad to bring some of his insights to you in English.
Episode 2
I was very grateful to Marcos for speaking with me. Marcos is the CIO of a Brazilian family office and has decades of investing experience. In the interview he tells a great story about being at the Brazilian futures exchange on black Monday in 1987.
Marcos is also an International Master of Chess (There are only a few thousand International Chess Masters in the world), so I found his approach to markets very interesting.
I apologize for the echo in the video. But I promise the interview is packed with interesting information and well worth the listen!
Episode 3
This was a great conversation about Venture Capital and Technology investing in Brazil. William Cordeiro is the managing partner of SaaSholic, an early-stage VC firm focused on SaaS companies.
We talk about William’s investment thesis and a few of SaaSholic’s portfolio companies. William also offers a ton of practical information about Venture Capital investing in Brazil.
There is a lot of useful information here for anyone interested in startups and VC in Latin America.
Episode 4
Brazil has blossomed into an agriculture powerhouse, but most international investors haven’t been paying attention. In this episode I talk with Brazilian Agro commodities expert Pedro Dejneka.
Pedro gives some amazing historical context about the Brazilian Agro industry, as well as a ton of useful information for investors today.
I think the Brazil Agro story is a very big deal and doesn’t get the attention it deserves. So, I was happy to talk to Pedro. I learned a lot and I think you will too!
Thanks again to all of you for reading!
I hope you find the podcast interesting and useful as well.
As always, I am always happy to talk to subscribers, so feel free to comment or shoot me a message anytime!
Best Wishes,
Patrick
I’m very excited for this new podcast! Latin America has been on my radar to add to my portfolio. Keep up the great work!
